What we know about you
Almost nothing, and that is on purpose. This notice is short because there is very little to describe.
We do not know who you are
There is no account and no login. We do not create an identifier for you, and we have no way to connect anything you read to you as a person, or to connect one visit to another.
What stays on your device
Your place in a story, the state your choices have made, which free beats you have finished, and your accessibility settings are stored by your own browser, on your own device. They are never sent to us. We cannot read them, and we cannot delete them for you — clearing your browser's data for this site removes them.
What we measure
We count a handful of coarse things: that a beat was opened, finished or left; that a prompt was shown or followed. These are plain numbers with no identifier attached. They are held in memory while you are here and are gone when you close the tab. They are combined with other readers' numbers before anyone looks at them, and a figure is only ever looked at when at least five different readers contributed to it.
The one thing that does identify you
Like every website, a server has to know your IP address in order to send you a page. That is personal information, and it is the only such information connected to this service. We tell you because it would be easy not to.
These pages are hosted by Cloudflare, who act on our behalf. We never receive those logs and cannot read them. Cloudflare holds them briefly under its own policy. We build no analytics on top of them, and we do not try to work out who you are. Cloudflare operates globally, which means the request may be served from, and logged in, a country other than yours or ours.
Paying
If you subscribe, the app store or payment processor handles that. We never see your card details and we never store them.
What we never do
We do not sell, license or broker anything about you. We do not hand your data to anyone to train anything. There are no third-party trackers, advertising pixels or analytics scripts on these pages.
Your rights
You have rights over personal data about you, including access, correction, deletion and complaint to a supervisory authority. In practice, the only data we hold that could relate to you is a server log entry; everything else is on your device and under your control already. To ask us anything, write to nittin@rogbeer.org.
Who we are
Nittin Rogbeer, trading as Rogbeer Labs, Curepipe, Mauritius. Rogbeer Labs is a trading name and is not yet an incorporated company, which means the person responsible for your data is a named individual rather than a company — him, not it.
